Three people were killed in the crash of a People’s National Army (ANP) helicopter occured, tonight, in the province of Tipaza.
The crash occurred after the ANP’s helicopter hit a high voltage electrical cable.
According to our sources, this is a Merlin helicopter, belonging to the Algerian Navy.

During a night patrol on the Blida-Tipaza axis, a rescue helicopter belonging to the Naval Forces crashed on Sunday at 9.40 pm after having struck high-voltage electrical cable near the municipality of Hamr El Ain, in the province of Tipaza, claiming the death of the members of its crew, composed of three officers.
In this painful circumstance, Major General Ahmed, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, Gaid Salah, expresses his deep condolences to the families of the victims and his support in the aftermath of this tragic accident.
