Health: French medical staff begin consultations in Algeria

Five practitioners, part of a French medical team, began yesterday, Sunday, May 21, medical consultations in the province of Khenchela, official sources reported.


Under a co-operation agreement between the two countries, this step aims at the exchange of experiences in the field of health and the training of medical and paramedical personnel, said the communication officer of the province, Mohamed Taybi .

The visit of the French medical delegation is part of the twinning operations between Algerian and French medical staff.

On Saturday in Khenchela, members of the delegation headed for the Kais hospital and 120  hospital beds to launch a training session for the staff of the two structures.

The consultations provided to the patients of the province  by the French medical staff turn around orthopedics, rheumatology and pediatric oncology, said the same source.
