Algeria sends 4 planes loaded with 180 tons of humanitarian aid to Iraq-photos

The Iraqi Red Crescent announced the arrival of four Algerian cargo planes loaded with humanitarian aid, donated by the government and the Red Crescent of Algeria, which includes 180 tons of food,  non-food items and medicines arrived at Baghdad airport on board Algerian planes, according to Iraqi Red Crescent website.


“We, the government and the people, have passed through such circumstances and we have experienced their bitterness and we know their needs. It is necessary to support Iraq and provide humanitarian aid in all areas,” said Algerian ambassador to Iraq, Abdelkader Ben Shuaa.

For his part, the head of the Iraqi Red Crescent , Dr. Yassin al-Maamouri, thanked the Algerian government and the Algerian Red Crescent for  their humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people.

“We have provided 180 tons of food and medical assistance to the brotherly Iraqi people and we will continue to send more aid
and help the displaced people in Mosul,” said Mohamed El Nini, a member of the Algerian Red Crescent.
