Algeria and Iraq agree to extend OPEC and non-OPEC agreement

Algeria and Iraq are in favor of extending the OPEC and non-OPEC agreement at the next ministerial conference scheduled for May 25 in Vienna, the Ministry of Energy said in a statement, published on their official Facebook page.

Both countries agreed today to extend the agreement in question for an additional 6 months.

The two ministers also support maintaining and strengthening the OPEC and non-OPEC framework for the year 2018, added the source.

Mr. Noureddine Boutarfa and Mr. Jabbar al-aluaibi finally recalled respecting the commitments of the two countries to reduce their production levels under the OPEC agreement.
