The members of the House of Representatives in the south ( HoR), responded, in a statement, rejecting Khalifa Hafter’s claims regarding the visit of the Minister of Maghreb Affairs, the African Union and the Arab League, Abdelkader Messahel, to the southern cities of the country, saying that this visit is for the interest of Libya and does not constitute a violation of Libya sovereignty.
The members of the House of Representatives in the south issued a statement, on Monday, in which they expressed astonishment regarding the statement issued by the National Security Committee in the House of Representatives on the visit of the Minister Abdelkader Messahel to the southern Libyan, in which they considered it as a violation of the country’s sovereignty.
In their statement, the officials highlighted that this visit is part of Algeria’s efforts exerted to bring the Libyan parties closer and implement a political solution so as to nip the crisis from the bud.
In addition the statement stated that this visit does not constitute a violation of the country’s sovereignty, adding that the people of the south do not hold any hatred or hostility towards any Libyan party.
Members of the South House of Representatives welcomed the visit of the Minister of Maghreb Affairs, the African Union and the Arab League, Abdelkader Messahel, as part of Algeria’s efforts to promote consensus among all Libyan parties.
