Two Algerian nationals have been arrested due to theft’s charges at the Suvarnbhumi airport, The Bangkok Post reported.
The two men pickpocketed travelers at the airport and this latter’s surveillance camera caught their act.
Moktadi Belkaid, aged 59, and Nadji Fadli, 50, were arrested on the third floor of the passenger terminal, on Thursday, for theft charges, pointed out the Airport Director Sirot.
The arrests took place following a passenger’s complaint that thieves had picked his pocket that contained cash, credit cards and imprtant documents.
The thieves pretended to be victims so as to carry out the theft act.
In this aspect, Security Officers examined footage and then found the thieves at the airport’s train station on Thursday afternoon. The two men fled but were arrested again in the passenger terminal.
Following the investigations, the suspects confessed to the theft act and were handed over to police at Suvarnabhumi police station.
