Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal is presiding today (Monday) the opening ceremony of the 50th edition of the International Fair of Algiers (FIA), at the Palais des Expositions (Pines Maritimes) in Algiers. This year, Russia is the guest of honor; represented by about thirty companies, Radio Algerie reported.
Placed under the theme “50 years in the service of the Algerian economy”, this edition of the FIA will be held on May from 8 to 13. With the participation of 536 Algerian companies and 494 foreign companies from 34 countries.
The total area of the national and foreign stands reserved for this FIA covers nearly 34,000 m2, of which 28,784 m2 are dedicated to national exhibitors, ie 85% of the total area.
The 28 official pavilions which will house 354 foreign companies are those of Belarus, Brazil, China, Côte d’Ivoire, Cuba, Egypt, France, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Japan, Jordan, Libya, Mali, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Senegal, Sudan, Syria, the Czech Republic and Turkey.
Individual foreign participation will include 30 companies covering an area of 245 m2, coming from eleven (11) countries: China, Spain, India, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Portugal, Senegal, the Czech Republic, Thailand and Tunisia.
