23 million voters will go to the polls, today Thursday, to elect their representatives to the People’s National Assembly.
500,000 people have been mobilized in more than 65,000 polling stations and offices across the country in order to ensure a smooth running of the elections.
Voting will kick off at 8 am and ends at 7 pm on the same day in accordance with the organic law of August 25, 2016 on the electoral system.
The governor can extend the duration of voting after obtaining a license from the Minister of the Interior to facilitate the exercise of the right to vote.
The number of candidates is 11,300 candidates representing 63 political parties.
