Algeria is determined to facilitating the work of international observers of the African Union (AU), the United Nations (UN), the Arab League and the European Union (EU) for the legislative elections of 4 May 2017, said Sunday Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramtane Lamamra, APS reported.
The official pointed out that Algeria is committed to make sure that observers would carry out their work in best possible conditions and to facilitate their communication with all those involved in the upcoming elections, to wit: parties, candidates, the media, as well as the different State institutions.
In this regard, the minister said that a committee, made- up of representatives of the different ministerial departments, has been set up in the hotels, where foreign delegations have been accommodated, in order to provide immediate response to all their concerns.
Lamamra urged Arab, African and European observers, dispatched across the national territory, to spare no efforts for better coordination and complementarity.
The head of Arab observer mission, Said Abouali expressed satisfaction at the facilitations granted to his delegation to allow them accomplish their mission in best possible conditions.
The Arab mission comprising 120 members, who will be dispatched in all the provinces of the country on the polling day, he explained.
For his part, the head of AU mission, Mohamed Deleita, hailed preparations by the Algerian authorities for the upcoming elections, pointing out that he is extremely confident and encouraged by the measures and preparations by the Algerian authorities to ensure the success of the upcoming legislative elections.
