Over 350 civilians have been killed in air strikes by international coalition against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, since the start of the operation in 2014, US military said in a statement on Sunday.
In its monthly report on civilian casualties of the US-led coalition strikes against ISIS, the Combined Joint Task Force added that it is investigating 42 other deaths that could be civilians.
This assessment by the United States is much lower than the one which has been reported by external groups.
According to Airwars, an association that follows the coalition strikes, over 3,000 civilians have been killed since the start of operations.
The Pentagon has regretted “the unintentional loss of civilian lives”.
