Element supporting terrorists has been arrested, on Thursday, by the of the People’s National Army (ANP), in the province of Jijel north east Algeria, National Defense Ministry said in a statement.
As part of the fight against smuggling and organized crime, elements of the National Gendarmerie arrested, in the province of Bechar (south Algeria), 3 smugglers aboard two trucks loaded with 180 tons of foodstuffs, 3000 Liters of cooking oil and 2200 liters of fuel, according to the same source.
In addition, detachments of the ANP foiled attempts to smuggle 8819 liters of fuel in the provinces of Souk-Ahras, Tebessa and El-Taref, while 18 illegal immigrants of different nationalities arrested in Adrar and Ghardaïa, concluded the statement.
