Over 100,000 hectares of agricultural lands, abandoned by farmers, have been recovered by the state, pointed out the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fishing Abdessalem Chelghoum, APSreported.
The official called farmers to exploit agricultural lands so as to contribute to the diversification of the economy.
“The recovery operation of agricultural lands through lapse or termination started in September 2016. Over 100,000 hectares have been recorded so far through termination of contracts,” said the minister at a meeting with officials in charge of agricultural land nationwide.
In this aspect,the state recovered 13,000 hectares allocated part of the conversion of the right of use of land belonging to the private state property whose farmers were lapsed of their concession acts.
