Algeria is about to become one of the world leader in the pharmaceutical industry, highlighted the Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, Abdelmalek Boudiaf, APS reported.
World Health Organization (WHO) experts, who were on a visit to Algeria, pointed out that the WHO, in a report to be published in June or July, has ranked Algeria among the world leading countries in the pharmaceutical industry, added the Minister.
The official called the Algerians to be proud to have a pharmaceutical industrial base covering 61 % of national needs and exporting to 11 African countries, the minister said.
