The signing ceremony has been held in the presence of Energy Minister, Noureddine Boutarfa, Mali’s Minister of Energy and Water, Malick Alhousseini, and officials of the both contracting companies.
Speaking to Malian officials, the group’s CEO Boukheddami Ammar, is committed to ensure as soon as possible the realization of the two projects.
For his part, the general manager of the Malian company EDM, Dramane Coulibaly, has argued that these two power plants would allow to absorb a part of energy deficit in localities of Kati and Dar Salam.
“These projects will provide EDM with adequate tools to ensure continuity of services”, Coulibaly argued.
"We, Africans, have the capacities of a large number of projects in common, and it is also in line with orientations of President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, to further develop relations with African countries, notably with Mali", he said.
"My ministerial department will spare no effort to support this project and to accompany all what may occur as cooperation between our two countries," he added.
