Iraq:
Iraqi Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi, has announced the launch of the operation to recapture western Mosul from the grip of ISIS, Press TV reported.
"Our forces are beginning the liberation of the citizens from the terror of Daesh," Abadi said in a televised speech on Sunday morning.
– Five people were killed, including three Iraqi soldiers, in two suicide bombings, on Sunday, targeted districts recently retaken from the terrorist group Islamic State in eastern Mosul.
The three soldiers have been killed in the first attack, and the second targeted civilians in the commercial district known as "My Fair Lady," killing two.
