Russia:
The Russian Defense Ministry said that Tupolev Tu-95 jets have successfully targeted the positions, held by ISIS terrorist group in Syria’s Northern Province of Raqqah.

EU:
The European Union (EU) as well as the United Nations’ nuclear agency have reaffirmed, in a joint statement ahead of the fifth meeting of their senior officials, their constant and firm stance in favor of 2015 nuclear agreement, inked  between Iran and six other countries.

Turkey:
At least one child has been killed and a dozen of people injured following a car bomb exploded in Turkey’s southeastern province of Sanliurfa on Friday night.
The bombing took place in the garden of a housing complex for judges and prosecutors.
Turkish Justice Minister,  Bekir Bozdag  denounced the cowardly terrorist attack in a tweet, saying it “was carried out against not only the judiciary but also our law, our justice, our nation, and our unity.”
In this regard, no individual or group has claimed responsibility for the blast yet.

Algeria:
Algeria commemorates, every February 18th, the National Day of the Martyr ( War Veteran) so as to recall the memory of the Algerian martyrs, passed away in the sake of this beloved country.

The aim of this occasion is to bridge the coming generations with their past as this letter plays a key factor and a leading role in determining the present as well as the future, and to remind young people of the sacrifices of the ancestors in order to draw lessons.

– On the occasion of the National Day of the martyr (war veteran), president of the republic, Abdel Aziz Bouteflika, said that Algeria will overcome all the challenges and difficulties, adding that the Algerian youths are aware and will not drift away behind those who want to destabilize the country and rise strife.

Algeria/ Germany:
German Chancellor, Angela Merckel, will pay a working visit  to Algeria next Monday.
During her two-day visit, Merckel will meet with President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, to discuss issues of common interests such as immigration, counter-terrorism and the latest developments of the security situation in Libya.

Western Sahara:
The head of the Sahrawi Arab Republic, Mr. Brahim Ghali, has called the UN Security Council, during a meeting with the Algerian television from the Saharawi refugee camps,  to assume its responsibilities towards the implementation of the United Nations’ resolutions towards Western Sahara.

Germany:
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that the euro is too low for Germany.

USA:
Protesters have staged protests rallying against US President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
