125 countries and heads of international financial institutions as well as prominent personalities attended the summit.
The officials tackled, during the meeting, issues related to climate change, environment, sustainable development, food security and Arab youth.
Babaammi also took part in the opening session of the 2nd Arab Fiscal Forum, and chaired a session that dealt with the Arab countries’ means to overcome obstacles and challenges.
During the session, the Algerian official highlighted that Arab countries need sustainable revenues in order to give a boost to their growth.
For her part, Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), underscored the need for Arab countries to develop a comprehensive fiscal policy.
