“We condemn this terrorist attack on Muslims in a centre of worship and refuge,” he said in the statement.
The official has pointed out, on his Twitter page, that the incident is “a cowardly attack,” adding that “thoughts are with victims & their families.”
Trudeau said that the government had offered the assistance needed.
In the same regard, Quebec Province’s Prime Minister, Philippe Couillard, also expressed, on his Twitter page, solidarity with Quebec Muslim people.
Earlier, six people have been killed and eight injured in a shooting attack on a mosque in Canada’s Quebec, staged during evening prayers at 20:00 local time on Sunday (0100 GMT Monday).
